Coral Salomón was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in International Relations, with concentrations in Latin America and Environment & Development, at Boston University. After graduating, she had the opportunity to work as a research assistant in Costa Rica where she georeferenced land-use maps of central Costa Rica for future academic reference. As a MLIS candidate, she is honing her skills in archiving, instruction and research with the hopes of promoting information literacy.
Coral currently works as a library reference and archives assistant at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College and is interning at the Democracy Now! Archives department.
