Outgoing 2014 President’s Letter

Nick CollisonDear Members,

As outgoing President of SLA NY, I look back with a sense of pride and accomplishment at the chapter’s achievements this year in support of its members.

Our hardworking 2014 Board and Advisory Council have succeeded in providing a diverse range of programming including lectures, seminars, and social events targeted to our broad membership audience. This year has seen many successes, such as our inaugural SLA NY Conference and Expo, the launch of Bridge to Excellence (B2E), our Project Management educational series collaboration with LLAGNY, and much more.

Welcoming Marcy Winkler to the role of SLA NY President for 2015, I am sure that the coming year will be a sensational one for the Chapter. With her Your Future is Now theme, Marcy is poised to continue last year’s efforts to increase membership and add value for members by introducing fresh new ideas, initiatives, and opportunities for collaboration. I am excited to see and participate in all that Marcy and the newly elected Board and Advisory Council have in store for the Chapter this year.

Among the many people I have to thank for making the successes of the past year possible, I’d like to mention just a few names: Chris Meatto, Vida Cohen, Wendy Ball, Eileen Rourke, Donna Severino, Emma Davidson, Marcy Winkler, Louise Masarof, Rita Ormsby, and Stephanie Gross.

Finally, I would like to thank all of our business partners and sponsors for their generous and ongoing support of SLA NY programming and events.

Nick Collison, 2014 President
